Short Post

This is gonna be a short one. I've done something to my neck (hurts in the shoulder area at the base of my neck) and my allergies are kicking my butt, which means my vision is really blurry today. It's kinda hard to see if I'm typing on the right jwta. I mean, keys.

Got moist heat on my neck, not sure if that's the right thing to do, but it's keeping me warm this morning. :)

Think i'll just sit here for a while with my eyes closed and "see" what happens...

Hmmm. Dunno why I'm commenting here if you can't see... ;^) But seriously, I hope you feel better soon. As for your neck, could it be the angle your arm reaches for your mouse? Sometimes, after many hours of surfing, blog-reading, etc. (used to be hours of writing), my neck/shoulder area would get such a painful kink/snag in it and no amount of ibuprophen would touch the pain. I try to remember to keep the height and angle of my chair "just so."

Feel better!

~Su, wondering, "What is that bright glowing object in the sky? Could it be... can it really be the SUN???" *gasp* *covering my eyes because living in SW PA is like being a mole-person*

Sorry you're hurting and following are some things that might make you feel better.

Advil or Alieve

You can buy hot compresses at the store to ease the muscles.

The brown paper bag and vinegar thing. It really does work.

A new chair. You spend a lot of time on your computer and your chair should be the best piece of furniture in your house.

Take care, Sweetie, we'll miss you.

Hope you feel better. Don't mess with the neck watch to make sure the pain doesn't start moving. Trust me on this one, I lost a disc in my neck last year, it herniated into the spial cord. Not a fun thing.

As for those allergies - I'm with you there. Mine have been acting up for 2 weeks now.

Take care and rest.

Gads between you and I...we're a disaster!

You sure you didn't get whiplash from wild monkey sex and you're just holding out on us?

Feel better, Sherrill.

Well, I've been on and off the moist heat for about 3 hours now, and it's getting better. Have had a cold, wet compress over my eyes, and they're getting less blurry. I can see without squinting now, but it's still a challenge to read.

Su, you crack me up. Mole-people. I remember what that was like--especially when there's a blanket of snow on the ground and the sun's glinting off the surface.

Thanks for the advice, Sloane. But I don't know what the paper bag and vinegar thing is...?

Nancy, bite your tongue. Herniated disc. I'm sure I've just strained it by not sitting in my chair properly. Too much looking down at the laptop. And I know you've been really whipped by your allergies. You keep taking care of yourself!

Jenna, I wish I had gotten whiplash from wild monkey sex. I'd still be in pain, but at least I'd be happy. :) Dammit.

Here's hoping you get better, FAST! And Sloane's advice of Advil or Aleve is probably best, but don't do drugs and drink...

I get stiff neck, too, from staring at the monitor. I did some visits to the chiropractor to get my neck put back in, but I think that was something else instead of just staring at the Internet.

Relax. Think gooooooood thoughts. Take a break from pounding the keys. Maybe this is post-traumatic stress from NaNoWriMo. NOT!

Rest. Relax. Recover. Remember we all love you and want you healed.

Thanks, Forrest. After I had some lunch (well, actually, a snack of celery with peanut butter), at about 1:00 I went and laid down and slept for an hour and a half. When I got up my eyes were better (my right eye is worse than the left). I should be seeing fine by tomorrow morning. Spent about 3 hours on moist heat this morning and already the neck and shoulders are feeling better.

Yasmine, what a great idea. Lay back and focus on my hot minion.

Wait a minute.

I don't have a hot minion. I have a hot Muse, but no minion.

Waaaaaah! I want a minion!

(sigh) Oh, well. At least my eyes are back to normal and the neck is almost.

Thanks for the well-wishes, everyone!
